PORTER RESIDENCE
The Porters live 1200 miles south of White River City in a small community called Cicada Cove.
Cicada Cove had at one time been a secret NASA research facility. As the Space Race came to an end, budget cuts resulted in the shutting down of the Cicada Cove center.
Most of the members of the town left to find work elsewhere, but the few who remained were able to turn Cicada Cove into a tourist trap and retirement community for the wealthy and famous.
While most citizens and tourists make the most of the sunny weather, beautiful beaches, subtropical lagoons, and various entertainment venues, there are some who believe there are still experiments being held in the old building that once contained some of the government's most guarded secrets.

Tobias "Papey" Porter was born on a small farm in 1904 about 60 miles from New Lake Falls.
Showing an aptitude towards math and science, Tobias enrolled at New Lake Falls A&M at an early age. He was involved in the predecessor of NASA and it was then when he met his wife, Eileen. She overdosed only a couple of months after the still birth of their second child, Terrance. After teaching at a couple of universities, Papey returned to NASA to head up a secret laboratory in Cicada Cove. Although today he is suffering from dementia, on occasion the brilliant mind of the retired rocket scientist shines through.

Although born in D.C., Carey's ties to White River City began as a child while his father was a professor at Princemoore University. He would return to the University to study architecture. He met Rebecca Princemoore while helping design an addition to Tymborlyn Estates. Their marriage gave Carey plenty of design opportunities and his company Porter and Sanford Designs has built multiple structures that form the skyline of White River City. He now lives with his ailing father in Cicada Cove.

Rebecca is the second child of Alexander and Talia Princemoore born in 1929, only months before what would become known as Black Tuesday. Like many wealthy families, the Princemoores lost a great deal of money during the Depression. But their illicit activities helped shield them from the blow. She married an architect student and son of former Princemoore University professor, Carey Porter in 1947. Not really involved in Princemoore Family affairs, Rebecca was happy to raise a family and be a mother of three beautiful daughters. Today she enjoys the warm, lush weather of Cicada Cove with her husband and father-in-law.
